Employee Spotlight: Clint Case, Welder - Gilbert Industries

Employee Spotlight: Clint Case, Welder

What do you do here at Gilbert Industries and what is a typical day like for you?

Stainless steel welding and fabricating. On the typical day, I am reading prints, welding components, and putting a tank together.

How long have you been at Gilbert Industries?

18 years this November. I was 20 when I started.

What brought you here?

I had a couple older cousins (Reuben and Smitty) that worked here.

What part of the job do you find most fulfilling?

Seeing the finished product, watching it go out the door and getting started on the next one.

What do you like most about working at Gilbert?

Everybody’s almost like family here. Everyone gets along good. Everybody knows everything about everyone.

What’s a project that you’re proud of that sticks out to you?

One of the biggest jobs we ever did was at an ethanol plant. We did sixteen 750,000 gallon tanks and a 1.3 million gallon tank. I spent a little over a year in Texas working right next to Jeremy and Rick Gilbert.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Spending time with my little boy (Owen, 2), hanging out with my family, and working out at the gym when I have the spare time.

What are you most looking forward to over the next year?

Professionally: Seeing the company get even more efficient at all levels.

Personally: Doing a little more fishing and hunting.
